Se7en, “It’s been 2 years since I’ve performed in Korea, and it feels good”

Se7en greets fans performing in Korea after 2 long years.

Se7en was present as guest appearance for GDragon’s ‘Shine A Light’ concert on 6th December in Seoul Olympic Stadium.

He performed his American debut song ‘Girls’ and joked, “You know who I am?”. He continued, “It has been 2 years since I’ve performed in Korea. I’m feeling really happy now.”

Se7en added, “When I was in the States, I really longed for Korean stage, and I miseed everyone so so much. About a month back, JiYoung asked me to guest his concert, and I thought ‘this is the moment’ that I should come out.”

He also revealed, “I am currently working on my Korean album. If fast enough, it will be out early next year, I hope that everyone will show loads of support.”

After that, Se7en went on to perform ‘I’ll Do Well’ and ‘Lalala’. And even though it was GDragon’s concert, many fans brought along placards with Se7en’s Korean name written on it to show him support during his appearance.

Singer Se7en reveals his love openly for girlfriend Park HanByul!

Se7en posted up a photo on his minihompy on 17th November which is also Park HanByul’s 26th birthday. He posted it in the photo folder called ‘7star’ and wrote, “A photo cut from Byul filming set. happy b’day ^^ ♥”

Fans who visited Se7en’s minihompy congratulated Park HanByul on her birthday but at the same time are also in envy of the couple.

Se7en previously revealed his 7 years love relationship with Park HanByul through a post on his minihompy in June.

He will be peforming on GDragon’s independent concert coming 5th and 6th December and fans will see him perform in Korea after 2 years.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment revealed that Se7en has been meeting up with a major record company over in the States at least once a week recently for a new start to his American advance.

The YG rep also added that even though Se7en released the single ‘Girls’, it was not really considered as a proper American debut.

And YG will be revealing some good news regarding Se7en’s American advance soon.

Se7en will be taking up a project, promoting in Korea-America-Japan in 2010. His contracts with his overseas entertainment companies have ended and he is presented with new opportunities with signing up with new overseas entertainment companies.

Lastly the YG representative added that Se7en will not only be releasing new albums, he will also be trying out new areas.

Singer Se7en will return to the Korean stage to perform on GDragon’s solo concert.

Se7en is currently doing the recording works for his upcoming single album which is set to be released early next year. And coming 5th and 6th December, he will be performing as guest appearance for GDragon’s solo concert ‘Shine A Light.

This will be Se7en’s comeback stage in Korea after 2 years, and will be good news for fans who have been looking forward to his comeback stage. Se7en will be performing on terms of friendship between seonbae and hoobae singers with GDragon. And that there is no other special meaning to it.

GDragon has also expressed that while he is looking forward to Se7en’s stage for his concert, he also have the feeling of burden since this is Se7en’s first stage after 2 years break from the Kpop stage.

Currently, Se7en will be staying in the States for about 10 days for various press conference, and Big Bang will be staying in Japan for about 2 weeks for their Japanese promotions.

Se7en said, “Of all things, I thought that I should appear for GDragon’s first solo concert since we have been close since young. I will be practising the songs I will be performing after returning to Korea.”

Singer Se7en prepping for comeback

Singer Se7en is in preparations to make a comeback to the local music scene for the first time since 2006, according to his agency on Tuesday.

“He has recently been recording songs for his next album to be released in Korea,” an official at YG Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone.

The official added that a single could be released ahead of a regular album, although she could not confirm the exact timing. “It will all depend on how good the song is — the comeback may be delayed if the song isn’t good enough,” she explained.

The 24-year-old singer had last released a fourth album in Korea before heading to the United States to expand his career. He released his first English single “Girls” featuring Lil’ Kim in March this year.

Since his debut in 2003, Se7en has enjoyed a successful career not only in Korea but also throughout several countries throughout Asia including Japan, China, Thailand and Taiwan.

Singer Se7en shows off his treasure (?).

On 19th October, he posted up a photo of his autographed album by the late Michael Jackson on his minihompy on 19th October.

He wrote a post with the title ‘MJ’, “This is the autograph I got a few years back by a friend who went through all the pains to get it, and now it has become a treasure.” He also wrote a RIP note for the late singer on his minihompy.

Park Han Byul’s Se7en-related excerpts are part of the “drinking interview” series by ISplus where a journalist interviews the celebrity over a dinner and alcoholic drinks.

ISplus (IS): How did you feel that day [that Se7en (Choi Dong Wook) acknowledged your long-term relationship on his minihompy]?

Park Han Byul (PHB): It was chaotic. I knew that my boyfriend was going to post a mesage, but I didn’t know when he would. It was on the day I returned [to Korea] from a photo shoot in the Philippines so as soon as I turned on my cell, congratulatory text messages flooded in.

IS: You must have been happy.

PHB: Of course. Because it was the day I was acknowledged as one man’s woman. But one night of sleep, my worries were tremendous. What if my boyfriend would get victimized because of me, he’ll get spoken ill of even more if he can no longer act….

IS: What do your parents say about Se7en?

PHB: They say to date well and not fight. We were once at the same management agency so both of our parents know each other well. Recently I’m in the middle of correcting myself to call Dong Wook’s mom ‘Mother’ rather than ‘Ajumma’, but it’s harder than I thought.

IS: What do the two of you call each other?

PHB: We expected this question and decided to fib and say ‘Jagi’ and ‘Baby’, but actually we just call each other with ‘ya’.

IS: Have you been to an amusement park [together]?

PHB: We went to Lotte World just once. It happened to be during the Mask Festival so we thought that it worked outwell, but nobody else wore masks except us. I just covered my face with a white mask but Dong Wook wore his mask until the end. But to be honest, we’re not recognized much even if we walk around [normally]. (Laughs.)

IS: What do you do for occasions such as birthdays?

PHB: My boyfriend’s and my birthdays are just one week apart so we have a joint birthday party. We eat with the YG Family and have a drink in a rented karaoke bar. There are no surprise events/gifts. We just ask each other, “What do you want to have?”, and buy what the other person asks for. It’s usually a bag or clothes but [Se7en] doesn’t know luxury goods very well.

IS: How is that possible?

PHB: He knows brand names but he doesn’t have a special liking for luxury goods. In seven years, he’s only given me a luxury bag about twice? Our food preferences are similar too, so we go to restaurants that sell seolleongtang (ox bone soup) or rice served in soup often. We have the taste preference of an ajusshi.

IS: What’s the first movie you saw together?

PHB: My Sassy Girl. But I was so happy that I couldn’t focus on the movie. After that, we’ve never gone to watch a film together just the two of us. We always went buried in the midst of friends. We went often to old theatres with few people rather than crowded theatres. It’s good because we don’t need to wait. I’ve seen My Sassy Girl five times.

IS: How do you spend Christmas?

PHB: At the end of every year there’s a YG concert scheduled so we’ve never been able to have a sweet date just the two of us at year-end.

IS: What do you like best about your boyfriend?

PHB: He’s pure and truly good (kind). If I say this to friends, they raise their voices and say, “Hey, there’s no such thing. All men are the same,” but Dong Wook is different. He fits into the top 1% of good guys in Korea.

Singer Se7en will be back releasing a new album in Korea after 3 years.

Se7en, who has started working on his American music market advance in 2006 and has been preparing for his debut in America recently, is back in Korea recently, and had announced the released of his upcoming album, resuming his promotional activities in Korea. Also, there are also plans for him to promote in Japan. This is definitely good news for Korean and Japanese fans who have been waiting for his comeback.

A YG Entertainment representative said, “We have decided that Se7en will release a new album this year. The album will be released simultaneously in Korea and Japan and he will also be doing the promotions.”

The representative added, “This is not the end to this American activities. He will be advancing the American market looking at it in the long term view.”
